"Harrrp crawls to Nurse with the Ghouls EP, featuring two cuts of laser-focused broken bass dead set on moving all the creatures on the dancefloor. Formerly known as Scarlit Port, Ali Najafi has initiated a new chapter in his creative journey with Harrrp, pursuing a sleeker, more pliable, and ultimately funkier sound. “Ghouls” opens with Harrrp’s ghastly pitch-shifted vocals paired with a buoyant electro beat. As the track progresses, it veers into deconstructed club territory - rhythms splinter and Harrrp’s voice becomes submerged in static, sanity fraying like the crazed dancers. The hyperpop-inflected Accela Mix of “Ghouls” bumps up the tempo and swaps the ominous synths for rave-inflected stabs. But make no mistake - this is still resolutely future-forward funk. Artwork for this EP was designed by Olga Federova, who has also produced a video for “Ghouls”. Najafi continues to cultivate Nurse’s eclectic and genre-defying vision with Harrrp’s Ghouls"
